Is Mike’s Bistro & Taproom fully gluten-free?
Yes. Mike’s Bistro & Taproom operates a fully gluten-free kitchen, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination for coeliac and gluten-sensitive diners.
Do you offer gluten-free beer?
Yes, we stock a range of gluten-free beer options alongside our rotating craft beer selection.
Is Mike’s family friendly?
Yes. Mike’s offers relaxed, family-friendly dining in New Plymouth, and we have a dedicated gluten free children’s menu for younger diners.
Do I need to book a table?
Bookings are recommended, especially for weekends, live music nights, and larger groups. Online bookings are also required for our 30’s Club promotion.
What is the 30's Club promotion?
Guests in their 30’s receive 30% off meals and drinks when dining between 5 pm and 5:30 pm. The promotion is available seven days a week, with bookings required.
Do you offer group bookings or private functions?
Yes. We cater for group bookings from 10 to 80 guests, with options including a la carte dining, set menus, and casual grazing boards. Exclusive venue hire is also available.
When does the live music start?
Our live music and open mic nights begin after 8 pm on Thursday and Friday, once the main dinner service has finished. Saturday nights, the music starts at 9 pm. This allows guests to still enjoy a relaxed and comfortable dining atmosphere earlier in the evening.
Do you offer restaurant vouchers?
Yes. Restaurant vouchers are available and make a great gift for birthdays, celebrations, work functions, or special occasions. We also accept Restaurant association vouchers.
Is outdoor dining available?
Yes. We offer outdoor seating in our New Plymouth CBD location, with seasonal availability depending on the weather.
Can you accommodate wheelchairs and accessibility needs?
Yes. Our team can accommodate wheelchair guests both indoors and outdoors. If you let us know when booking, we can reserve a more accessible table for your visit.
